Fort Lauderdale, Florida -- From luxury beach resorts to Superior Small Lodgings, Greater Fort Lauderdale boasts 33,000 hotel rooms throughout this vibrant destination from Hollywood to Deerfield. In addition, several new hotels conveniently located just minutes from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Port Everglades cruise port and the Broward County Convention Center have opened in 2009 and a few are on the horizon for 2010. Hyatt has plans for two new properties, the 149-room Hyatt Place Fort Lauderdale Airport-South, opened in January 2010 and Hyatt Summerfield Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport-South, opening March 2010 with 143 rooms.

It just gets better with the Lauderdale Luxe collection of hotels including the new Ritz-Carlton, Fort Lauderdale; Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina; Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort; and Atlantic Hotel, joined by:

The Westin Beach Resort, Fort Lauderdale has re-opened after completing a multi-million dollar extensive rebirth. A wall made entirely of glass serves as a virtual window to the ocean and to the resort’s private beach. The new ballroom is part of a $50-million renovation including a $25-million floor-to-ceiling rooms makeover, and ocean terrace enhancements with fi re pits, cabana seating and cozy alcoves surrounded by lush tropical landscaping.

On the horizon, the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel, formerly the Sheraton Yankee Clipper, is in the midst of a $30-million renovation and revival.
